Our mortgage types

Fixed


A fixed rate mortgage locks in your interest rate for a specified length of time. Terms are often 2,3 or 5 years. This type of product can be great for borrowers who like to know exactly what they will pay monthly.

Discounted


Discounted rate mortgages are the lenders standard mortgage rate with a discount added for a specified amount of time. Following the initial period the rate will revert to the lenders standard rate.

Standard Variable


A standard variable rate is set specifically by a lender. This rate is usually at least 2% higher than the Bank of England base rate. This product generally costs more monthly, however often gives the borrower more flexibility.

Tracker


A tracker mortgage is linked to any changes made by the Bank of Englands base rate and can therfore rise or fall to reflect these changes. The rate is generally lower than the lenders standard variable rate.
